Warm and welcoming hosts, beautiful location. While staying at Sona Baile, I was greeted by the owners, Jake and Ger, with bottles of champagne on New Year's Eve. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, even offering a help-yourself breakfast the next morning. The rooms were lovely, and I enjoyed waking up to stunning views of the ocean from my balcony. I also appreciated the free use of bikes and the extensive selection of board games and books. my experience at Sona Baile was fantastic, and I would definitely stay here again.

The location was stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean. The rooms were bright, clean, and colorful, giving off a cheerful vibe. The DIY breakfast option was a pleasant surprise, as it allowed us to help ourselves to a variety of food items. We appreciated the convenience and flexibility it offered.
The cleanliness of the kitchen area left much to be desired. It was not well looked after and was quite messy.

The view from our room was breathtaking, overlooking the beach and the mountain. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, spotless room and facilities. The breakfast had a wide selection of fruits, jams, and cereals, which we really enjoyed. The location was perfect, close to the beaches, restaurants, and shops. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful host who made us feel at home.
One improvement that could be made is the lack of outdoor seating. It would have been nice to have some benches outside where we could sit and take in the beautiful view.

We had an amazing experience at this hidden gem in Achill. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The hosts, Geraldine and Jake, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The location was stunningly beautiful and the hosts were incredibly warm and gracious. We even had a personalized welcome with my name on a chalkboard at the entrance. The room was bright, cheery, and the perfect place to relax after a long day. The nearby pub/restaurant had delicious food at reasonable prices. Achill Island itself was breathtaking, with stunning beaches and picturesque scenery. we felt like friends rather than guests. We can't recommend this place enough.
